Type of YouTube content watched in Italy 2019, by age group

Age has an influence on the type of content Italian users watch on YouTube. A survey conducted in March/April 2019 showed that 16 to 24 years old respondents had a disproportionate interest (56 percent) in particular for influencers/youtubers channels, compared to a modest 28 percent on average for the other three groups. Watching or listening to music videos seemed to be popular across all ages, while brands and products channels were of much more interest for the 25-44 age-group than for the youngest and oldest group. It is interesting to note a keen interest (60 percent of the respondents) in video tutorials for the oldest age-group.
